Funds raised benefit Oswego Industries P.R.O.M. Night: an inclusive event for developmentally disabled individuals to attend a formal evening of fun.
Paparazzi $5 Jewelry by Andrea Bailey: 10% of jewelry sales will be donated back in jewelry for PROM attendees.
Oswego Industries will host a free concert for the public featuring FLAME, a group from upstate New York made up of 10 people with developmental/physical disabilities, including autism, Down’s syndrome, and blindness.
FLAME is now an international touring band in high demand producing 4 CDs and having guest appearances and performances in People magazine and ABC’s “Good Morning America”.Formed in 2003, the band from Lexington Center, Fulton County Chapter, NYSARC, Inc. has steadily made strides in changing the world through music. They are a phenomenon inspiring people and changing the way the general public view people with disabilities. People of all ages and backgrounds find connections with this special rock band, especially those who have a disability.
The concert has been made possible by a grant to ARC of Oswego County through NYSARC, Inc.
WHEN: Friday, September 15th from 6 to 8 p.m.
WHERE: West Linear Park, Oswego, New York
DETAILS: Doors open at 5. Venue is handicap accessible. Cost is free. All ages welcome. Food and beverage available for purchase.
The Oswego Industries, Inc. Golf Open, an annual fundraiser for Oswego Industries, Inc., is a captain and crew tournament which includes our signature “Disability Hole” where team members attempt to tee off with a simulated disability.
The tournament will be held on Friday, June 15 at Battle Island Golf Course in Fulton, NY. Registration opens at 8 a.m.
Registration fees include 18 holes of golf with use of a cart, refreshments, steak bake lunch, annual gift, prizes and more.
Sponsorship opportunities are available; those interested in playing can register any time. The tourney will have a shot-gun start at 9:00 a.m.
