Jason Krause., Production Support Associate, Oswego Industries, Inc.

Jason works across multiple product lines—belts, bags, shirts, and winter hats—and plays a key role in onboarding and training new employees.

“I do a lot of things—belts, bags, shirts, hats. I help people, I train people, I even open the doors when the bus comes. It’s more than a job—it’s a place where I can lead, teach, and be part of something bigger.”

Jason’s pride stems from being a mentor and helping others succeed in a workplace that values inclusion and purpose.

“I like my new family—my second family at the workshop. Working on contracts that support our military makes me feel like I’m contributing to something important.”

Kendrick Whelsky., Production Support Associate, Oswego Industries, Inc.

Kendrick started with no sewing experience and now contributes across departments, from sewing and cutting to cleaning and logistics.

“We don’t send it out unless it’s absolutely perfect. If you miss one or two stitches, that could fall apart on someone in the military. That’s why I take my time and make sure it’s right.”

“I just want to see where I keep growing to, what impact I can have on helping the company grow, what people I can help, and who I can learn from. Working here gives me purpose—and I know the work we do matters.”

Wendy Meyer, Textile Cutting/Production Assistant, Oswego Industries, Inc.

Wendy has been with Oswego Industries for nearly 20 years, currently serving as the textile cutter for the Sew Online program.

“I enjoy it. I like to make the work for the people. If I don’t cut any work, then they don’t have any work. I take pride in knowing my role keeps the whole line moving.”

Her precision and consistency ensure that materials for military apparel are ready for production.

“My time at Oswego Industries has been rewarding. I enjoy everything I do daily. Working on AbilityOne contracts means I’m helping create products that serve a real purpose—and that feels good.”

Wesley Rice, Operations Associate, Oswego Industries, Inc.

With 33 years at Oswego Industries, Wesley has worked in multiple departments and mentored countless employees, especially within the deaf community.

“I very much enjoy working here. It’s an awesome place. They help people. If I need help, they help me. And I also do that. Because sometimes some of the jobs are very difficult… But that’s why I come here. I like it.”

Wesley’s pride comes from being part of a supportive, inclusive environment where his contributions are valued.

“I want people to remember me… as one that helped everyone here, helped train people, was willing to work in any department with the need. Working on AbilityOne contracts means I’m part of something that helps others—and that’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”
