Oswego Industries relies on the energy and talent of volunteers to help us accomplish all that we do. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and to grow personally and professionally.

Anyone can volunteer! We invite parents, students, professionals and anyone else who would like to get involved to share some of their time with individuals with disabilities. There are many ways that you can help out! Here are just a few examples of the types of volunteer opportunities available:

• Social and recreational activities
• Teaching classes such as art, sign language, exercise and crafts
• Landscaping/yard work
• Office/administrative work
• Fundraising and assisting with events

Step 1: Fill Out the Volunteer Application

If you would like to volunteer with Oswego Industries on an ongoing basis, please print and fill out the volunteer application. Email the application to HR@oswegoind.org or mail the form to 7 Morrill Place, Fulton, NY 13069.

Step 2: Screening

The state requires that volunteers who may have the potential for direct, unsupervised contact with individuals within our programs must be screened for a criminal background. Once your volunteer application has been processed, we will make an appointment for your screening. Screening can be done right here at Oswego Industries.

Step 3: Orientation

New volunteers will attend a quick and easy orientation session that will introduce them to Oswego Industries’ year-round volunteer opportunities. We hold orientations once a month at our Fulton location.

Step 4: Start Making a Difference!

From sharing a love of music and dance to cooking, reading, art, sports, museums, movies, tutoring, fundraising, special events and much more, your time and talents can make a difference to the children, youth and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities whom we serve each and every day.
